Great structure
Great structure and relevant exercises/scenarios throughout the course. Good sense of pacing and amount of breaks that allowed us to regain our focus between exercises. Felt encouraged to ask questions throughout the course which were also followed up with relevant discussions back and forth. Do recommend!

Our APAC team had a 4x half-days PSM I training with Duncan as he adapted the training format to suit our different timezones.
He is obviously very knowledgeable, and is very nice to speak with.
I spent a very good time in the sessions, as the pace and atmosphere were enjoyable, the content was great and well-presented using Miro, and Duncan really highlighted the important information. Summary emails, access to online class resources, and additional tips made me feel confident that I had all information needed to finalise preparation and attempt the assessment.

I've just passed my PSM I certification…
I've just passed my PSM I certification exam thanks to this class. Duncan did a great job explaining the fundamentals of Scrum and the skills needed to succeed as a Scrum Master. He fostered a sense of camaraderie among the class participants and offered thoughtful group exercises that helped demonstrate key concepts of Scrum.
If I had some constructive feedback, it would be that Duncan doesn't allow much time to complete some of the exercises/quizzes, but it seems that is also key to exploring some of the real world problems encountered in the role.

Duncan has a wealth of expertise and really took his time to simplify things by using real life scenarios alongside the Scrum framework. The course overall is very interactive and the breakout room sessions were very helpful as it got us all thinking and applying our knowledge as we went along. Would 100% recommend the class to get you prepped for the PSM I exam.

I am happy with the way Duncan communicate with the participants and conducts the two days training.
During the training the topics were introduced in an easy way to understand and recognize the real value. Simple examples were presented and some exercises with other participants helps to fix the content of Scrum Guide. At the end, Duncan shared relevant recommendations and guidance for the Scrum Assessment.

Engaging and insightful
Do you know those courses where you are so bored you can't wait for them to finish? This is not one of them. Duncan is incredibly knowledgeable in the matter and accomplished to make the two-day course very engaging, thought-provoking, and enjoyable. Topped with a sprinkle of funny bits that made the experience a brilliant time investment: I got a 100% on my first try! Definitely would attend more of these if all instructors were like Duncan.

Excellent well planned Video session
Excellent well planned Video session. I throughly enjoyed the session especially in the breakout rooms we were grouped differently every time. That way we got chance to learn from one another. Duncan our course facilitator explained every modules clearly.

I could not have asked for a more engaging, fun and intriguing virtual classroom experience. Duncan was a great coach, he was patient and provided a great foundation for taking and passing the PSM I assessment. Duncan is an excellent trainer and keeps you engaged throughout the whole time. His personal experiences are vast so he can easily tailor real world examples to make them relatable with you. The comprehensive and interesting class, what is more important - useful on the real project
It was really exciting and useful class. Duncan was working hard during the class to dive us into Scrum practice. It wasn't just boring theory but a lot of exercises for practice skills development. More over I'm using gained knowledge to improve processes in the my team now and already started implementing of Scrum framework... I didn't expect such result.
I was a bit sceptical on the beginning but it the end it was really hard to say "Bye" to Duncan and all group.

Highly Recommended Class (98.8% PSM I Score)
Duncan is a fantastic trainer. He runs a clearly laid out course with great slides and the classes are highly interactive using zoom, a MIRO board and breakout sessions for exercises. He questions rather than tells, forcing you to think, which makes the lessons sink in much better. He's more than happy to answer questions, has great industry insights and fosters a fear-free, open and engaging classroom environment :-)

Taking the PSM II class with Duncan…
Taking the PSM II class with Duncan makes you a better leader.
While taking the class, I have learned a lot about being the leader who serves, and while improving my Scrum knowledge I was also able to emphasize my skills on enabling teams and making them selfógranized. A challenge I have encountered many times in my career.
I'm an engineering manager, in an environment, where there is no Scrum, but something the company calls Scrum, and where there is no Scrum Master. However, I believe that the values of Scrum can benefit my team and the company.
In Duncan's course, I felt most intriguing the way he conveyed the information. Facilitation, Liberating structures, training from the back of the room. It was enlightening to see how to make a group engage with each other, who had never seen themselves before, came from different places in Europe, and who still was able to be very engaged in the exchange of wisdom.

Brilliant PSM course!
The PSM course that we did with Duncan was absolutely brilliant. He was a great instructor, explained things really clearly and was also very patient with us. Not only do we all feel confident to take the exam, we also feel so positive towards changing things up in our studio. If we ever want to take any further Scrum courses in the future, we would definitely choose to go with Duncan again.

Great learning experience
It was a great experience. Duncan is a very knowledgeable teacher who answered all of our questions and focused on keeping everyone engaged. I was very happy that the class was face to face as I think that's the best way to stayed engaged.
I have done several online courses on Agile and Scrum but none of them left the subject as clear as a face to face class with a teacher.

An interesting Group course with good…
An interesting Group course with good interaction.
As Agile is a very new experience for me personally, it was good to complete the course with other colleagues who are already using Agile.
In my current Role of resolving Quality / Warranty Problems, we already use a recognised 8D problem solving methodology. I feel that I have an advantage of applying Agile to the 8D process. It will help in Attention to detail and verifying the True and accurate Root Causes to the problems.

Witty and effective trainer
After passing the assessment on the first attempt, I'm confident to recommend Duncan to my colleagues. The time of the two day training and an extra hour session was well spent. Duncan is a fun and knowledgeable trainer and there were different kinds of learning methods used during the course therefore it was easy to stay engaged and focused. The only class I wished lasted longer
My year 2022 started with Duncan's PSM I course. This class offered me the essential info I needed as a total beginner to pass the assessment based on solid knowledge and not on luck or on a good exam strategy. Furthermore, I gained two days of valuable interactive input, engaging exercises and people that I now keep in touch with.
As a trainer myself, I noticed right away that Duncan is an exceptional instructor with a lot of experience both in Scrum and in offering high-quality classes. This was the only course I've attended so far where I wished we would run out of the scheduled time frame (nope, that didn't happen!), so that I could spend more time learning from Duncan and the group.

Engaging, informative and fun.
The Professional Scrum Master course delivered by Duncan Maddox was perhaps the best training course I attended in 30+ years of my professional career. The training was well prepared and presented, with lots of quizzes and break-out sessions. Although I have been a scrum master for many years, this course was a real eye opener and will allow me to get back to my job both focussed and recharged.

PSM 1 two day class and certification prep
Duncan did a great job delivering this course and preparing me to take my certification (which I hope to have gotten by the time this is read). Our course had great content, lots of interactive sessions and quizzes to ensure understanding. It was conducted at a great pace, I do not excel in classroom environments, however, thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot recommend highly enough.

Knowledgeable and engaging trainer
The training course run by Duncan over the two days was extremely well put together, perfectly placed and contained enough material to be both informative and leave enough room for hearty discussions, cross examination and questions.
As a teacher, Duncan was able to articulate all of the vast amounts of information into digestible chunks, as well as being able to further explain topics which the class found more difficult to get their minds around.
The extra resources to allow us to prepare for the assessment is also a mighty help. I'm struggling to think of anything that could be construed as constructive criticism, so I'll just end with Duncan was a fantastic trainer, the material was engaging and the pace of the session was perfect.

Great and useful training session
Just passed my PSM I Certification! Big thanks to Duncan Maddox for a great 2-day training course. He helped to focus on different important things within Scrum Framework and gave a lot of practical hints. He also gave a lot of valuable notes for exam preparation. Advice: you still need to do a lot of preparation yourself, the exam is quite challenging.

One of the best courses that I've attended!
I strengthened my knowledge of Scrum, this has definitely helped me to clear my doubts in certain areas. I would like to highlight that regardless the fact that it was a remote session, Duncan made it very interesting and he was able to maintain the attention of the attendees and engage like in a face to face workshop.

A great course from Duncan
To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed this virtual 2 day course. Duncan is an excellent trainer who presented the course material in a very clear and engaging way. There was a good level of group discussions, quizes and team exercises which kept everyone in the group fully engaged. I also liked the relatively small group size (we were five students) which allowed all members of the group to fully participate.
I've been working in scrum teams as a developer for a number of years but this course really crystalised scrum theory and has provided me with the knowledge and motivation to try and improve the way my team is implementing scrum.

I attended a two day scrum master training course conducted by Duncan Maddox. It was held virtually which was absolutely fine for me. It was a really well run course. I found it was conducted at a good pace and the format was great and enabled everyone on the course to interact with each other. I found Duncan's teaching and training to be really insightful and helpful which really helped me to understand scrum. Hi, my name is Duncan Maddox and I'm a Professional Scrum Trainer.
I have thirty years (three decades!!!) experience building complex products and working with teams and about ten years ago I saw the benefits of Agile and using Scrum for complex product development. Somewhere along the way I realised that I enjoyed teaching and training just as much as I enjoyed solving problems and playing with technology. I like to think that I've made a lot of mistakes so that you don't have to!

Our APAC team had a 4x half-days PSM I training with Duncan as he adapted the training format to suit our different timezones.
He is obviously very knowledgeable, and is very nice to speak with.
I spent a very good time in the sessions, as the pace and atmosphere were enjoyable, the content was great and well-presented using Miro, and Duncan really highlighted the important information. Summary emails, access to online class resources, and additional tips made me feel confident that I had all information needed to finalise preparation and attempt the assessment.

I've just passed my PSM I certification…
I've just passed my PSM I certification exam thanks to this class. Duncan did a great job explaining the fundamentals of Scrum and the skills needed to succeed as a Scrum Master. He fostered a sense of camaraderie among the class participants and offered thoughtful group exercises that helped demonstrate key concepts of Scrum.
If I had some constructive feedback, it would be that Duncan doesn't allow much time to complete some of the exercises/quizzes, but it seems that is also key to exploring some of the real world problems encountered in the role.

The course overall is very interactive and the breakout room sessions were very helpful as it got us all thinking and applying our knowledge as we went along. I am happy with the way Duncan communicate with the participants and conducts the two days training.
During the training the topics were introduced in an easy way to understand and recognize the real value. Simple examples were presented and some exercises with other participants helps to fix the content of Scrum Guide. At the end, Duncan shared relevant recommendations and guidance for the Scrum Assessment.

Engaging and insightful
Do you know those courses where you are so bored you can't wait for them to finish? This is not one of them. Duncan is incredibly knowledgeable in the matter and accomplished to make the two-day course very engaging, thought-provoking, and enjoyable. Topped with a sprinkle of funny bits that made the experience a brilliant time investment: I got a 100% on my first try! Definitely would attend more of these if all instructors were like Duncan.

The comprehensive and interesting class, what is more important - useful on the real project
It was really exciting and useful class. Duncan was working hard during the class to dive us into Scrum practice. It wasn't just boring theory but a lot of exercises for practice skills development. More over I'm using gained knowledge to improve processes in the my team now and already started implementing of Scrum framework... I didn't expect such result.
I was a bit sceptical on the beginning but it the end it was really hard to say "Bye" to Duncan and all group.

Highly Recommended Class (98.8% PSM I Score)
Duncan is a fantastic trainer. He runs a clearly laid out course with great slides and the classes are highly interactive using zoom, a MIRO board and breakout sessions for exercises. He questions rather than tells, forcing you to think, which makes the lessons sink in much better. He's more than happy to answer questions, has great industry insights and fosters a fear-free, open and engaging classroom environment :-)

Taking the PSM II class with Duncan…
Taking the PSM II class with Duncan makes you a better leader.
While taking the class, I have learned a lot about being the leader who serves, and while improving my Scrum knowledge I was also able to emphasize my skills on enabling teams and making them selfógranized. A challenge I have encountered many times in my career.
I'm an engineering manager, in an environment, where there is no Scrum, but something the company calls Scrum, and where there is no Scrum Master. However, I believe that the values of Scrum can benefit my team and the company.
In Duncan's course, I felt most intriguing the way he conveyed the information. Facilitation, Liberating structures, training from the back of the room. It was enlightening to see how to make a group engage with each other, who had never seen themselves before, came from different places in Europe, and who still was able to be very engaged in the exchange of wisdom.

Brilliant PSM course!
The PSM course that we did with Duncan was absolutely brilliant. He was a great instructor, explained things really clearly and was also very patient with us. Not only do we all feel confident to take the exam, we also feel so positive towards changing things up in our studio. If we ever want to take any further Scrum courses in the future, we would definitely choose to go with Duncan again.

Great learning experience
It was a great experience. Duncan is a very knowledgeable teacher who answered all of our questions and focused on keeping everyone engaged. I was very happy that the class was face to face as I think that's the best way to stayed engaged.
I have done several online courses on Agile and Scrum but none of them left the subject as clear as a face to face class with a teacher.

An interesting Group course with good…
An interesting Group course with good interaction.
As Agile is a very new experience for me personally, it was good to complete the course with other colleagues who are already using Agile.
In my current Role of resolving Quality / Warranty Problems, we already use a recognised 8D problem solving methodology. I feel that I have an advantage of applying Agile to the 8D process. It will help in Attention to detail and verifying the True and accurate Root Causes to the problems.

The classroom was an excellent learning environment. The use of Miro was good, the examples were clear and the interaction was very open and honest from both participants and the course leader. The course leader was clear in his delivery and it was evident that he had experience in the topic he was teaching. The material used was clear, well put together and very easy to follow

Witty and effective trainer
After passing the assessment on the first attempt, I'm confident to recommend Duncan to my colleagues. The time of the two day training and an extra hour session was well spent. Duncan is a fun and knowledgeable trainer and there were different kinds of learning methods used during the course therefore it was easy to stay engaged and focused. The only class I wished lasted longer
My year 2022 started with Duncan's PSM I course. This class offered me the essential info I needed as a total beginner to pass the assessment based on solid knowledge and not on luck or on a good exam strategy. Furthermore, I gained two days of valuable interactive input, engaging exercises and people that I now keep in touch with.
As a trainer myself, I noticed right away that Duncan is an exceptional instructor with a lot of experience both in Scrum and in offering high-quality classes. This was the only course I've attended so far where I wished we would run out of the scheduled time frame (nope, that didn't happen!), so that I could spend more time learning from Duncan and the group.

The Professional Scrum Master course delivered by Duncan Maddox was perhaps the best training course I attended in 30+ years of my professional career. The training was well prepared and presented, with lots of quizzes and break-out sessions. Although I have been a scrum master for many years, this course was a real eye opener and will allow me to get back to my job both focussed and recharged.

Duncan did a great job delivering this course and preparing me to take my certification (which I hope to have gotten by the time this is read). Our course had great content, lots of interactive sessions and quizzes to ensure understanding. It was conducted at a great pace, I do not excel in classroom environments, however, thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot recommend highly enough.

Knowledgeable and engaging trainer
The training course run by Duncan over the two days was extremely well put together, perfectly placed and contained enough material to be both informative and leave enough room for hearty discussions, cross examination and questions.
As a teacher, Duncan was able to articulate all of the vast amounts of information into digestible chunks, as well as being able to further explain topics which the class found more difficult to get their minds around.
The extra resources to allow us to prepare for the assessment is also a mighty help. I'm struggling to think of anything that could be construed as constructive criticism, so I'll just end with Duncan was a fantastic trainer, the material was engaging and the pace of the session was perfect.

Great and useful training session
Just passed my PSM I Certification! Big thanks to Duncan Maddox for a great 2-day training course. He helped to focus on different important things within Scrum Framework and gave a lot of practical hints. He also gave a lot of valuable notes for exam preparation. Advice: you still need to do a lot of preparation yourself, the exam is quite challenging.

One of the best courses that I've attended!
I strengthened my knowledge of Scrum, this has definitely helped me to clear my doubts in certain areas. I would like to highlight that regardless the fact that it was a remote session, Duncan made it very interesting and he was able to maintain the attention of the attendees and engage like in a face to face workshop.

A great course from Duncan
To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed this virtual 2 day course. Duncan is an excellent trainer who presented the course material in a very clear and engaging way. There was a good level of group discussions, quizes and team exercises which kept everyone in the group fully engaged. I also liked the relatively small group size (we were five students) which allowed all members of the group to fully participate.
I've been working in scrum teams as a developer for a number of years but this course really crystalised scrum theory and has provided me with the knowledge and motivation to try and improve the way my team is implementing scrum.

I attended a two day scrum master training course conducted by Duncan Maddox. It was held virtually which was absolutely fine for me. It was a really well run course. I found it was conducted at a good pace and the format was great and enabled everyone on the course to interact with each other.
