The format of the sessions was excellent. A different topic each week within the overall scope of Product Ownership, with constant interactivity and questions focused around that week's topic. Everything that was discussed was put into context relative to the company I work for, to help with understanding and how to implement changes into my own daily work.

Very interactive training that helps brings Scrum to life
I had some basic knowledge heading into the class, but the real world examples and group activities Russell provided really helped bring Scrum to life. I appreciate the fact that he took time to answer all of the questions that arose and coached when needed to ensure understanding.

The Professional Scrum Product Owner class with Russell Miller is highly valuable. Beyond preparing me for the exam, the class was a great trip through product ownership. Russell's training appeals to multiple learning styles and it not just a presentation. It is highly interactive, with many breakout group sessions. We learned the concepts through actual application of them, by "creating" our own product as teams. Russell is very easy to listen to, chat with, and learn from. His stories are engaging and help further cement in the topics we were learning. I highly recommend this class.

I'm recommending this to everyone
I wish everyone in my organization could take this course! I have never taken any professional course like this so I was a bit anxious spending the money but it was definitely worth it. I think its also worth mentioning that I don't have any project manager/coordinator experience. I took this course in the hopes of making a career change so I felt especially green. Still, I feel I got so much out of this course.
Russell is a brilliant instructor. Engaging, informative, approachable - I am extremely grateful for the time he spent with us. I could tell he tailored the material to our experience - especially me with little experience. I can't wait to take more of his classes!

Excellent
Russel was great. The class was good given the time constraint and ZOOM requirement. Russel did everything he could to engage the group. I would suggest shorter sessions over longer days to accommodate Zoom fatigue during Covid-19 work from home. It would have been nice to have the materials, access to the PowerPoint during class to supplement the class while it was happening. It would be nice to point out how organizations use Scrum in a separate session. Many of our questions where formulated based on our existing structure for the organization our class is employed which doesn't use Scrum yet.

This is a great interactive class
This is a great interactive class, led by highly experienced professional with amazing IQ and EQ skills (Russell Miller). I really enjoyed very much the 2-days experience - the class was small (7 persons), so everyone could enjoy personal attention and ask questions. Super informative class with great practical team exercises! Scrum was super professional and transparent when they informed me that my original class didnt have enough participants so they asked me if I was willing to move to the following weekend. Of course, I did which I was glad since I got an excellent facilitator, Russell Miller ! I thoroughly enjoyed the class and I am super excited to take the PSM assessment! I feel confident that I will pass with no issue! I highly recommend taking a course with him!

Awesome experience. The course was filled with so many real-life case studies and examples. I really liked the pace of the course. Martin and Russel were complementing each other which made the class very engaging and fun, which was really important if you are attending the class after a full day job.

I enjoyed the class because it was very insightful and helped me have a clear understanding of what a Scrum Master's role is.
Russell made sure each and every participant was engaged in the activities/exercises during the training. He also did a splendid job at answering our questions and highlighting common scrum mistakes and myths.
One thing that stood out was the amazing 75% discount I got as someone who is coming from Zambia. This gesture did come in really handy as the original fee was expensive on my part.
I definitely do feel more confident to take the PSM I assessment now.

Down to earth instructor who really cares for his students

Russell was perfect! I was astonished that he taught this class on the weekends for those with a busy weekday schedule. His class setting was intimate, which fostered students the option to express and engage in conversation. He kept me engaged and attentive the entire time. If you had a question, he answered it fully, and even asked us questions as well. Russell had a great sense of humor, not dry at all! I am so happy that I took the leap and chose him as my instructor. Can't go wrong with Russell!

Great class! Russell was a fantastic teacher. I really enjoyed the real-life context and situational learning that was provided. This allowed me to not only get the foundation of Scrum but also understand how to use it in real world situations. I also appreciated him taking the time to answer questions, making us all feel heard. After the course I was able to pass PSM I and feel I have a great foundational education to be a successful Scrum Master.

Great training

The class was great, Russell and Greg were very patient, helpful and explained the terms, answered all our questions as many times as needed to ensure we fully understood. One aspect I would change is the 1st day. I felt that we spent too much time on introducing ourselves and preparing for the learning experience. One aspect I would keep: the working agreement and revisiting it at the start of every day.

Slow start but once we got rolling it…
Slow start but once we got rolling it was great. I've been able to make immediate change in organization around executing scrum. I now feel like I really know what I'm doing as a scrum master lol. Something important occurred to me during the course though. There is so much content to cover in the two days. It's hard for the instructor call out the finer details that scrum masters will certainly need when "in the trenches" (ie. how to handle insights gained from retrospectives). It really benefited me to have been in the role for 6 months before attending the class. I was able ask key questions to enrich my experience. Without it the course would have been less valuable. So maybe there should be a suggestion that students spend some time in the role before taking the course. Or there can be a more poignant effort to provide absolute essential "nuggets" in addition to teaching scrum.

Russel was fantastic
Russel was fantastic, a great instructor. I give the class four stars because I did not like how the course material was organized. Too many exercises to my taste and not enough real-life examples, things to bring home.
I would still recommend this class to anyone. I passed the PAL 1 exam within one week after the class. A bit of study is necessary as the course material does not address much the cert exam.

I'm recommending this to everyone
I wish everyone in my organization could take this course! I have never taken any professional course like this so I was a bit anxious spending the money but it was definitely worth it. I think its also worth mentioning that I don't have any project manager/coordinator experience. I took this course in the hopes of making a career change so I felt especially green. Still, I feel I got so much out of this course.
Russell is a brilliant instructor. Engaging, informative, approachable - I am extremely grateful for the time he spent with us. I could tell he tailored the material to our experience - especially me with little experience. I can't wait to take more of his classes!

Russel was great. The class was good given the time constraint and ZOOM requirement. Russel did everything he could to engage the group. I would suggest shorter sessions over longer days to accommodate Zoom fatigue during Covid-19 work from home. It would have been nice to have the materials, access to the PowerPoint during class to supplement the class while it was happening. It would be nice to point out how organizations use Scrum in a separate session. Many of our questions where formulated based on our existing structure for the organization our class is employed which doesn't use Scrum yet.

Super informative class with great practical team exercises! Scrum was super professional and transparent when they informed me that my original class didnt have enough participants so they asked me if I was willing to move to the following weekend. Of course, I did which I was glad since I got an excellent facilitator, Russell Miller ! I thoroughly enjoyed the class and I am super excited to take the PSM assessment! I enjoyed the class because it was very insightful and helped me have a clear understanding of what a Scrum Master's role is.
Russell made sure each and every participant was engaged in the activities/exercises during the training. He also did a splendid job at answering our questions and highlighting common scrum mistakes and myths.
One thing that stood out was the amazing 75% discount I got as someone who is coming from Zambia. This gesture did come in really handy as the original fee was expensive on my part.
I definitely do feel more confident to take the PSM I assessment now.

Russell was perfect! I was astonished that he taught this class on the weekends for those with a busy weekday schedule. His class setting was intimate, which fostered students the option to express and engage in conversation. He kept me engaged and attentive the entire time. If you had a question, he answered it fully, and even asked us questions as well. Russell had a great sense of humor, not dry at all! Great class! Russell was a fantastic teacher. I really enjoyed the real-life context and situational learning that was provided. The class was great, Russell and Greg were very patient, helpful and explained the terms, answered all our questions as many times as needed to ensure we fully understood. One aspect I would change is the 1st day. I felt that we spent too much time on introducing ourselves and preparing for the learning experience. One aspect I would keep: the working agreement and revisiting it at the start of every day.

Russell's approach to training is top-notch! I sincerely enjoying the PSM Training course he facilitated. Slow start but once we got rolling it…
Slow start but once we got rolling it was great. I've been able to make immediate change in organization around executing scrum. I now feel like I really know what I'm doing as a scrum master lol. Something important occurred to me during the course though. There is so much content to cover in the two days. It's hard for the instructor call out the finer details that scrum masters will certainly need when "in the trenches" (ie. how to handle insights gained from retrospectives). It really benefited me to have been in the role for 6 months before attending the class. I was able ask key questions to enrich my experience. Without it the course would have been less valuable. So maybe there should be a suggestion that students spend some time in the role before taking the course. Or there can be a more poignant effort to provide absolute essential "nuggets" in addition to teaching scrum.

I've been working in Agile and Scrum environments for 10 years, this is the first time that all phases and roles of the Scrum process are truly clear to me. The class is designed extremely well to be able to quickly dissect and understand all the parts of this framework. Russel was fantastic
Russel was fantastic, a great instructor. I give the class four stars because I did not like how the course material was organized. Too many exercises to my taste and not enough real-life examples, things to bring home.
I would still recommend this class to anyone. I passed the PAL 1 exam within one week after the class. A bit of study is necessary as the course material does not address much the cert exam.
