Stas Pavlov

It was a great training and we had some great trainers too. I personally found it very nice that the training was all about interactions instead of looking at a powerpoint.

Stas is a wonderful presenter on the topic of Product Ownership. He has the right on-the-job experience to deep-dive into topics when needed.

De docent is een ervaren trainer die je meeneemt in een soort van reis naar Bounty Island om zo goed mogelijk de theoretische kennis van de Productowner over te dragen. Naast theorie ook veel praktijkopdrachten waardoor de training dynamischer wordt. Training is ook geschikt voor niet commerciële organisaties.

Stas is a teacher who has a lot of experience in both scrum and tutoring. He's flexible in his teachings and knows how to adjust his teachings in (sometimes not so) subtle ways when needed. He feels the group dynamic and knows when to schedule small breaks. Ignoring the above, Stas has something I deem very important for any teacher, tutor, coach, mentor or any person in general: A good, healthy sense of humor. Truth to be told, Stas needed to feel the group at the beginning of day one, but after having a taste of the ambience, it was good! Good pacing of teachable materials, lots of small, tiny bits of humor (sometimes nerdy...your Jedi Mindtricks and Vulcan Mindmelts don't work on everyone), which makes most people laugh, keeping their attention. Keep doing that and I'm sure the group will stay focused. The only thing I'd try and work on is the amount of open questions. Not all groups like these kinds of questions, creating awkward-ish moments of silence... Instead, it might be interesting to give an answer yourself, but make it a doubtable answer. You might get your students (padawans?) to doubt your own answer and speak up more. Just a thought perhaps... Keep it up Stas! And I hope to see you in the next traing (maybe the one with the long name...)

It was a great 2days training with lots of valuable information and hands on assessments.

Prowareness always provides the best trainers and is never rigid with their approach. Each trainer I experienced was determined to make the training useful for each participant, even if it required some tailoring. Same counts for the trainer I had this time, Stas Pavlov. Great guy, a lot of experience in the field, and really guided us through the training very well.

Stas from Prowareness makes the training a proactive experience. I achieved my learning goals and got a chance to exchange thoughts with peers! A win/win!

Stas (our trainer) was able to adapt the training on the fly to the needs of the group. Are they more experienced with Scrum? Let's focus less on that, more on fun exercises to build on UX concepts. Got something that isn't really part of the 'training slides' but seems important to the group? Let's dive into that further. All in all a great training that got people up and running in thinking about business problems, coming up with proto-personas and performing car-related experiments to prove or disprove their assumptions!

Enough interactive elements, nice metaphor, empathic for the students

Stas is a very competent trainer who constantly demonstrates he understands scrum and product ownership on all levels. A two-day training can be very intensive, but his positive energy constantly works to motivate and energise the trainees, turning the training into anything but exhausting.

My team and I received an introduction to Professional Scrum and Product Ownership by Stas Pavlov. He managed to timebox the two-day event to perfection without failing to provide us with all the information and exercises we needed. He is an engaging teacher who manages to strike the right balance between theoretical background and playful exercises tailored to our context. Stas never engaged in esoteric phraseology that dresses up fashionable nonsense. Instead, he successfully conveyed best practices to a team who had had little to no exposure to the methods, allowing us to put some of the learnings into practice immediately.

Having been involved in the fields of innovation, consulting, and marketing for 12 years, participating in numerous trainings and collaborating with countless individuals, I have come to realize how challenging it is to find educational institutions that effectively incorporate real-life scenarios to reinforce their theories. Furthermore, it is even more difficult to find instructors who can offer more than just a monotonous recitation of PowerPoint slides. Fortunately, the PSPO-A training I recently attended provided a refreshing change. Rather than dwelling extensively on theory, we swiftly delved into practical examples. I was particularly impressed by the trainer, Stas Pavlov, not only due to his extensive knowledge of product management (which, to my understanding, encompassed all the remarkable brands I am familiar with), but also because of his compelling approach to implementing SCRUM in practice. At the beginning of the training, I had a long list of intricate questions that I hoped would be addressed, and to my surprise, they were all thoroughly answered by the end of the training. Stas consistently provided well-supported responses, drawing from real-life examples. Furthermore, Stas possesses an exceptional sense of humor that effortlessly captivates participants, making the passage of time inconspicuous. If you ever have the opportunity to partake in this training, I highly recommend it.

Very interactive, lots of new topics but also in depth knowledge

The experience was a great way to quickly grab a lot of concepts most business practice books would need at least 200 pages over multiple books for.

I liked the training a lot, it was very interactive. Not only a presentation of slides with all the things you need to know, but mostly doing exercises together with the other students. While doing the exercises you can see the relation to part of the scrum theory. Off course also some blocks of theory, but never too long. The trainer Stas did a great job in keeping everybody connected and active.

Very interactive class with nice visual flipovers and an enthousiastic trainer. Covering both the topics to go to an 'ideal' Scrum experience (Bounty Island) as well as coping with practical problems.

Great balanced interactive and theoretical training. Entertaining trainer. Goal was to pass the exam, the outcome was successful.

It was interactive and light-hearted, while still covering all the important aspects of Scrum and the Product Owner's role in the process. Stas is a great guy, creates a good atmosphere and facilitates interaction in the training and between each other. The explanation was clear and the process of using physical materials rather than digital helped me be present in the moment and focused on the training. A thing that I feel could be improved is the connection to real-world Scrum. The training focused mostly on the Scrum principles and the ideal situation. I and many others felt there was a mismatch between our experiences with our companies and the ideal Scrum way of working. I feel the goal of the training is to learn to improve your way of working as a Product Owner. While it is good to focus on how the ideal situation would be, I would have appreciated more room to discuss how we can set steps towards that direction given that we are starting in our messy everyday world.

The training was very visual, interactive, more "doing" than theory, fun, valuable. Stas is a superb trainer. He is very good at projecting the theory onto the reality. He is flexible and makes sure he tunes his answers and stories to what the group needs. On the one hand this training is a great preparation towards the assesment, on the other hand it is also a good preparation for the practical application. Stas involves the group, has a interactive style and a great sense of humor!

Stas was a very competent and knowledgeable trainer, bringing just the right amount of practical experience and content expertise into the training. There was variation, fun and of course a time to learn and practice. Stas was able to create a safe and nice group dynamic. For me as an absolute beginner in the field with no experience whatsoever as a product owner, even I found it interesting and learned a lot.

I thought it was great, beyond expectation. The dynamic & energetic approach while parallel still focusing on the important aspects of the theory including pragmatic examples was practiced well by Stas. Especially liked usage of the flip overs and post-its instead of a bulk of PP slides. Side features such as logistics, lunch, breaks and fellow course attendees were also more then fine. I can only hope my PSM II course next week will be done just as good!

One of the best trainings I've ever followed! The theory was being practised in the trainings, such as intermediate evaluation, by the trainer for piece of evidence which helped in the adoptation.

Really enjoyed this class taught by Stas Pavlov. On top of his product experience and knowledge he demonstrated great fascilitation skills. There was room for fun, in-depth personal questions and discussion. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone going for the PSPO exam.

I am happy with the way of teaching and the provided information. Really have the feeling that I am well prepared for the assessment and even more important, actually understand much better how to reflect on things at work to improve the WoW. Thank you for the useful information Stas Pavlov!
